He then reappeared as Supreme Lord Kazzak in patch 6.2 in Tanaan Jungle. Originally added in patch 1.3 in the Blasted Lands, he was then withdrawn to Outland in patch 2.0 as Doom Lord Kazzak in Hellfire Peninsula. Lord Kazzak is one of the more prolific world bosses. Coupled with the trivia daily, that’s 1050 badges in total over the duration of the event! Briefly, here’s what to expect from each boss: Turning in the quest will reward you with another 50 Timewarped Badges, totalling 700 if you do this quest every day. Regardless, you’ll have to track down these bosses and defeat each one to finish the quest. Wowhead’s datamining says that the quest requires level 60, fitting since that would be the level you’d face them at originally you still might be able to fight them at lower levels yet, but 60 could be as far down as they scale! These world bosses scale with your level, though I’m not sure what the minimum level is (if there even is one!). The daily quest The Originals requires you to defeat three of the Classic world bosses: Lord Kazzak, Azuregos, and a Dragon of Nightmare. They request that you look into these matters and figure out what’s going on. The Timewalkers have discovered strange disturbances in the timeways, coincidentally centered around the areas where the Classic world bosses used to roam. Thus, if you do this daily every day from the start of the event to the end, you can earn 350 badges. The reward for your stunning Warcraft knowledge is 25 Timewarped Badges. You can answer an unlimited number of questions until you get one correct. The questions should be fairly easy if you’re remotely familiar with the game, but if you’re not, don’t worry.

Travel to either Historian Llore in Stormwind or Historian Ju’pa in Orgrimmar, where they’ll inform you that things are a little bit weirder this year… Trivia timeīut first, the trivia daily from last year has made a return! The daily quest A Time to Reflect requires you to answer a single multiple-choice trivia question about the lore of Warcraft. The letter that is slightly more urgent than last year’s letter, however, starts a quest to meet up with a Timewalker in your faction’s capital. You’re unlikely to see someone wearing the actual tabard these days, so it’s a nice touch! For the duration of the buff, it also makes your character look like they’re wearing the Contest Winner’s Tabard, an exceptionally rare tabard from back when Blizzard introduced the honor system in Classic. This year, it boosts experience and reputation gains by 13% for an hour, and it’s reusable throughout the event. The Celebration Package should be familiar if you’ve been part of any anniversary event before. Opening it will give you an updated Celebration Package, 200 Timewarped Badges, and A Slightly More Urgent Letter from the Timewalkers. Logging in on any character will award it the WoW’s 13th Anniversary feat of strength, and there will be an Anniversary Gift waiting for you in the mailbox.

Time to put on the nostalgia goggles and take a trip back to WoW’s early days once more! It’s not quite on the scale of the 10th anniversary, but there’s some bosses to face and some new loot to acquire. Anyway, with another year under its belt comes another anniversary celebration, and this one’s a bit bigger than average. Pretty soon it’ll be driving, then graduating high school, then it’s off to college for our little MMO…Īhem. It’s hard to believe that WoW’s a teenager now.
